As the Korean Series in professional baseball wraps up, K-Pop group NOWZ takes the mound in baseball attire.

NOWZ recently held an interview at a café within Cube Entertainment's building in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, to celebrate the release of their third single, 'Play Ball'.

From the album name to the title track, everything is baseball-themed. The music video was also filmed against the backdrop of a baseball stadium. Explaining the choice of concept, member Yeonwoo stated, "Athletes put in a lot of effort and continuously push forward to participate in games. We are the same. We thought it would be a direct way to show our current selves."

Unfortunately, the Korean Series has just ended, leading into the off-season. While the concept might have garnered more attention if released during the season, member Yoon expressed, "The song could shine more during the season, but we focused on challenging ourselves with the genre we wanted. Baseball is a sport that always captures public interest. We will strive to make our song a topic of conversation when the season returns. Additionally, we hope our song contributes to the excitement of baseball."

Siyoon shared, "I went to see a few Doosan Bears games when I was younger. Recently, I watched 'The Strongest Baseball' and felt the same emotions, along with the passion I had when practicing Taekwondo in the past. I would love to throw the first pitch at a 'The Strongest Baseball' game or a Doosan Bears game."

NOWZ's new single 'Play Ball' features the title track 'HomeRUN', an EDM-based dance track with heavy drops and bold rapping. It portrays the challenges and achievements of youth, turning even uncertain futures into opportunities. The single also includes 'GET BUCK', showcasing NOWZ's bold ambitions, and 'In a World Without a Name', which highlights their lyrical sensibility.

NOWZ's 'Play Ball' will be released on various music platforms at 6 PM on the 26th.
