BOYNEXTDOOR has been honored with the Newcomer Award(新人賞) at Japan's prestigious 67th Japan Record Awards.

The award, announced on the 21st, recognizes artists who have shown remarkable activity and potential in Japan over the past year, regardless of their origin. BOYNEXTDOOR's win highlights their successful ventures in the Japanese music scene.

Through their agency, KOZ Entertainment, BOYNEXTDOOR expressed their gratitude, stating, "We are truly honored to receive such a valuable award. Debuting in Japan last year and continuing with our first solo tour this year, we have felt the love from many people. We will strive to show an even more evolved side of us, so please continue to support us warmly."

BOYNEXTDOOR has been actively engaging with fans in Japan, gaining significant attention. Their second Japanese single, 'BOYLIFE,' released in August, sold approximately 346,000 copies in its first week according to Oricon, topping two weekly charts (August 18-24). The album also received a 'Platinum' certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan in September. Recently, they released the single 'SAY CHEESE!' in collaboration with the popular animation 'Tom and Jerry,' which has garnered much attention.

Their albums released in Korea have also made waves in Japan. Both their fourth mini-album 'No Genre' and fifth mini-album 'The Action' received 'Gold' certifications from the Recording Industry Association of Japan. Their tour, including encore performances, spanned six cities in Japan with a total of 13 shows, all of which sold out, proving their popularity in the region.

Meanwhile, BOYNEXTDOOR is set to perform on the first day of Japan's largest year-end festival, 'COUNTDOWN JAPAN 25/26,' held from December 27-31 at Makuhari Messe in Tokyo.
