Im Chang-jung's remake of the classic song 'Holding You in My Arms' has soared to the top of major music charts upon its release.

On the evening of the 6th, Im Chang-jung released the remake of the iconic song 'Holding You in My Arms' by Cult through various music streaming platforms.

As of the 7th, the song has claimed the number one spot on Kakao Music's real-time chart. It also secured the 16th position on Melon's HOT100 (30-day) and 37th on HOT100 (100-day). Additionally, it topped the Bell365 latest chart and ranked second on Genie’s latest release chart (1-week).

Kim Jun-sun, the original songwriter, expressed through his agency, JG Star, "I thought, 'As expected of Im Chang-jung.' His innate vocal talent shines through with deep emotional expression and delivery. The song naturally captivates the listener's heart."

Im Chang-jung's version of 'Holding You in My Arms' focuses on emotion and sincerity rather than elaborate arrangements. Billy (Son Jeong-han), a member of the original band Cult, praised in an interview video, "Few people can express it this way. His vocal ability is top-notch." Im Chang-jung shared, "I tried to sing with the emotion of that time, the masculine sentiment we used to express back then."

Im Chang-jung has infused the familiar song with a 90s vibe and his unique emotional touch, adding depth and warmth to the performance. His heartfelt delivery is conveyed solely through his voice, without the need for further explanation.

Meanwhile, Im Chang-jung is set to perform in Vietnam on the 8th.
