K-pop group VVUP (Kim, Paan, Suyeon, Jiyoon) has returned with a striking new image following their rebranding. The group blends electronic music with visuals that emphasize their Asian charm, aiming to captivate the global market with their unique appeal.

On the afternoon of the 22nd, VVUP held a media event at Blue Square in Hannam-dong, Seoul, to celebrate the release of their pre-release track 'House Party' from their first mini-album. Suyeon expressed her excitement about the release, saying, "I'm curious and thrilled to see how fans will react to the rebranded VVUP." Kim added, "I'm so happy. Jiyoon discussed the rebranding, stating, "We've become more daring visually and have made significant changes musically. Our understanding and expression of the music have deepened through studying with our staff." She added, "This time, we've reinterpreted traditional Korean elements with our unique twist, hoping to showcase the beauty of Korea both domestically and internationally."

Suyeon mentioned, "VVUP plans to reinterpret traditional folklore from Korea, Thailand, Indonesia, and other countries in a modern way. With Asian members, we aim to present these stories with a hip and unique flair."

Jiyoon explained the choreography for 'House Party,' saying, "I was fascinated by a hand gesture I saw in the Netflix drama 'Genie, Make A Wish' featuring Kim Woo-bin. Just as there is a genie in Arabian tales, Korea has the dokkaebi (goblin). That hand gesture is a key point in our choreography." She demonstrated the dance move, which involves placing the palm near the face and moving it diagonally up and down in sync with the lyrics 'Goblin Party.'

The group also discussed how Korean traditional culture might resonate with international fans. Jiyoon expressed her delight at seeing traditional culture well-represented in the Netflix animation 'KPop Demon Hunters' and mentioned their efforts to incorporate similar elements. Kim shared, "I love Korean culture, which is why I came to Korea. Filming the music video was incredibly satisfying because I was doing something I love."

Paan expressed aspirations for future activities, saying, "I want to be like my role model, BLACKPINK, and embody their charisma on any stage." Jiyoon added, "I hope to reach number one on domestic music charts and will work hard on both international and domestic activities."

'House Party' is the pre-release track from VVUP's upcoming first mini-album, set to be released in November. The track features an electronic genre with sophisticated synthesizer sounds centered around a house beat. In the music video, released simultaneously with the track, the members enjoy a surreal party with everyone wearing 'filters,' blending traditional and modern visuals for a mystical feel.

The track 'House Party' from their first mini-album will be available on various music platforms at 6 PM on the 22nd.
