K-Pop Group VVUP Rebrands with a Fusion of Tradition and Modernity in 'House Party'

On the afternoon of the 22nd, VVUP held a media event at Blue Square in Hannam-dong, Seoul, to celebrate the release of their pre-release track 'House Party' from their first mini-album. Suyeon expressed her excitement about the release, saying, "I'm curious and thrilled to see how fans will react to the rebranded VVUP." Kim added, "I'm so happy. I've been eagerly waiting to share our music and see how people perceive our new image."

Suyeon mentioned, "VVUP plans to reinterpret traditional folklore from Korea, Thailand, Indonesia, and other countries in a modern way. With Asian members, we aim to present these stories with a hip and unique flair."

The group also discussed how Korean traditional culture might resonate with international fans. Jiyoon expressed her delight at seeing traditional culture well-represented in the Netflix animation 'KPop Demon Hunters' and mentioned their efforts to incorporate similar elements. Kim shared, "I love Korean culture, which is why I came to Korea. Filming the music video was incredibly satisfying because I was doing something I love."

'House Party' is the pre-release track from VVUP's upcoming first mini-album, set to be released in November. The track features an electronic genre with sophisticated synthesizer sounds centered around a house beat. In the music video, released simultaneously with the track, the members enjoy a surreal party with everyone wearing 'filters,' blending traditional and modern visuals for a mystical feel.
The track 'House Party' from their first mini-album will be available on various music platforms at 6 PM on the 22nd.
