BLACKPINK's Rosé and Bruno Mars' 'APT.' Music Video Surpasses 2 Billion Views, Setting New K-Pop Record
BLACKPINK's Rosé has achieved a remarkable milestone with her collaboration with American pop star Bruno Mars. Their hit song 'APT.' has surpassed 2 billion views on YouTube.

According to YouTube, the music video for 'APT.' reached over 2 billion views as of 7 AM on the 18th. This achievement comes approximately 335 days after its release on October 18 last year, setting a new record for the fastest K-pop music video to reach 2 billion views.

After surpassing 1 billion views on January 31 this year, the video added another billion views in just seven and a half months, showcasing its explosive popularity. With this, Rosé becomes the first K-pop artist to have both group and solo music videos surpass 2 billion views, joining BLACKPINK's 'DDU-DU DDU-DU' (2.3 billion views) and 'Kill This Love' (2.1 billion views). Rosé is also the only BLACKPINK member with a solo music video exceeding 2 billion views.

Currently, the only K-pop music videos with over 2 billion views are Rosé's 'APT.', BLACKPINK's two tracks, PSY's 'Gangnam Style' (5.7 billion views), and BTS's 'Dynamite'.

The song has dominated major global charts, including Billboard, the UK Official Charts, Spotify, and Apple Music, breaking K-pop records. Additionally, Rosé made history at the '2025 MTV Video Music Awards' (MTV VMA) by becoming the first K-pop artist to win in a major category, 'Song of the Year', further solidifying her status in the global pop market.
