BTS's V Dominates TTA as Top Male Solo Idol, Set to Throw First Pitch at Dodgers Game

BTS member V has claimed the top spot in the Male Solo Idol category at the 13th Top Ten Awards (TTA), competing for the title of 'Best Global Artist'.

Organized by TENASIA, the 13th TTA is an event that selects the best global artists for the first half of 2025. Artists representing K-pop and K-content vied for the 'Best Global Artist' title at this prestigious event.

V, who is active on the global stage, is set to throw the first pitch at the Los Angeles Dodgers' home game in Major League Baseball (MLB) on the 25th. The Dodgers announced on their official social media on the 17th, "ARMY, are you ready? V will be throwing the first pitch at Dodger Stadium on the 25th." The announcement caused a surge in traffic, temporarily crashing the ticket booking site.

V is also receiving numerous offers from advertisers. On the 19th, a commercial featuring V and Compose Coffee was released. As the brand's exclusive model, V shared behind-the-scenes photos and videos on his social media. In the content, V showcased a range of outfits, from sleeveless tops to suits, with his unique flair. Earlier, on the 2nd, he was appointed as an ambassador for the beverage brand Coca-Cola.

V enlisted in December 2023 and served in the Army's 2nd Corps Military Police Special Mission Unit, completing his service on June 10th. BTS, the group V belongs to, has been fulfilling their military duties sequentially since last year. They are expected to make a full comeback in the spring of 2026, embarking on a large-scale world tour.

The preliminary voting for the TTA took place from May 19th to June 1st, followed by the final voting from June 5th to 14th. In the Male Solo Idol and Female Solo Idol categories, BTS's V and BLACKPINK's Jisoo were named, respectively. ASTRO was selected in the Male Idol Group category, while NiziU was chosen in the Female Idol Group category. The Rookie category trophy went to NEXZ.
