BTS's Jungkook Achieves 2.5 Billion Streams on Spotify with 'Seven'

BTS member Jungkook has reached a remarkable milestone on Spotify, amassing 2.5 billion streams.

According to Spotify, the world's largest music streaming platform, Jungkook's solo single 'Seven' (feat. Latto), released in July 2023, has surpassed 2.5 billion streams as of the chart dated August 18. This achievement marks the first time a single by a Korean artist has reached this milestone.

In addition, Jungkook's solo tracks have collectively surpassed 9.4 billion streams, setting a record for the most streams by a K-pop solo artist. His solo album 'GOLDEN', released in November 2023, is on the verge of reaching 6 billion streams, further cementing his global popularity.

Jungkook's influence is evident in various charts and accolades. 'Seven' debuted at number one on the US Billboard Hot 100, Global 200, and Global (excluding the US) charts. It also holds the record for the fastest song to reach 1 billion streams on Spotify, achieving this feat in just 108 days.

Furthermore, 'Seven' was selected by Billboard as one of the '2024 International Power Players', being the most popular song in over 200 countries/regions worldwide, excluding the US. The song continues to enjoy long-lasting popularity, charting for 108 weeks on the Billboard Global 200 and 109 weeks on the Global (excluding the US) chart, more than two years after its release.

Jungkook has solidified his status as a 'global pop star' by sweeping awards at numerous international ceremonies, including the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards, 2023 MTV Europe Music Awards, 2023 Billboard Music Awards, and the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards.
