Former THE BOYZ Member Ju Haknyeon Issues Apology Amid Controversy
On the 19th, Ju Haknyeon posted a statement on his social media, expressing, "First and foremost, I sincerely apologize to the fans and everyone who may have been shocked by the news articles about me. I am deeply sorry for causing concern with this unfortunate incident."
He continued, "It is true that I was present at a drinking gathering with acquaintances on the early morning of May 30, 2025, but I have never engaged in any illegal activities such as prostitution, as reported in the articles or rumors." Despite denying the allegations, he added, "I deeply reflect on my actions and sincerely apologize to those who were surprised."
Although Ju Haknyeon denied the allegations of prostitution, multiple entertainment industry insiders reported that "Ju Haknyeon met with Asuka Kirara at a private bar in Tokyo, Japan, in late May, and during this encounter, he handed over money to Asuka Kirara."
His agency reportedly discovered evidence of Ju Haknyeon's involvement in prostitution with Asuka Kirara while verifying the facts related to his personal controversy. Initially denying the allegations, Ju Haknyeon eventually admitted to the prostitution when presented with concrete evidence.
On the 16th, One Hundred announced Ju Haknyeon's suspension from activities, and on the 18th, they confirmed his departure from the group and termination of his contract. One Hundred stated, "Upon receiving information about Ju Haknyeon's involvement in a personal issue, we immediately suspended his activities and thoroughly verified the facts. As a result, we recognized the seriousness of the matter and concluded that it was difficult to maintain trust in him as an artist. After extensive discussions with THE BOYZ members, we finalized Ju Haknyeon's departure from the team and the termination of his exclusive contract."
