BTS Members RM and V Complete Military Service, Await Full Group Comeback

On the morning of the 10th, RM and V will be discharged after fulfilling their mandatory military duties. RM enlisted in December 2023 with the Army's 15th Infantry Division's military band, balancing music with his service, while V served in the Army's 2nd Corps Military Police Special Task Force.
Big Hit Music, their agency, released a statement on the 9th, saying, "RM and V are scheduled to be discharged tomorrow morning. The area near their units is very limited in space, and a large crowd could pose safety risks. We kindly ask fans to refrain from visiting the site for safety reasons."
After their discharge ceremonies at their respective units, RM and V are expected to share brief remarks about their service from a location in Gangwon Province.
With RM and V's discharge, a total of four BTS members, including Jin and J-Hope, have completed their military service. Jimin and Jungkook are also set to be discharged from active duty on the 11th.
Additionally, Suga, who is serving as a social service agent, is expected to be released from his duties on the 21st. This marks the completion of military service for all BTS members, paving the way for their full group activities.
Industry insiders anticipate that BTS's full group activities might resume as early as late this year or next year. The post-military comeback is seen as a new chapter for BTS, requiring careful planning and concept development to ensure a successful return.
During a performance report conference call last year, the possibility of "BTS's full group activities in 2026" was mentioned. While this sparked discussions among fans, it is believed that the latter half of this year will be a time for individual and collaborative projects, as well as album preparations. Consequently, BTS's comeback is projected for the fourth quarter of this year or the first quarter of 2026.
Big Hit Music has also provided cautious and thoughtful responses regarding BTS's post-discharge plans. Last year, the agency told Ten Asia, "We are in close discussions with the artists about their post-discharge activities. Once specific plans regarding timing and format are finalized, we will inform fans at an appropriate time."
