ITZY Celebrates 7th Anniversary with New Album 'Girls Will Be Girls'
K-pop group ITZY showcases their strong bond with their latest album, 'Girls Will Be Girls'.
On the 9th, ITZY held a press conference at the Sofitel Ambassador Seoul Hotel & Serviced Residences in Songpa-gu, Seoul, to celebrate the release of their new mini-album 'Girls Will Be Girls'.
Debuting in February 2019, ITZY marks their 7th year together. With this new album, they convey the message that their unity is stronger than ever. Fans can expect to see the solid camaraderie among the members through this release.
The members shared some anecdotes from their comeback preparations. Yeji said, "Just yesterday, we had a tight performance routine. If we're not careful, we might bump into each other. Yesterday, Yuna got hit by Lia's elbow in the practice room. We laughed it off, apologized, and continued practicing with a cheerful spirit."
Chaeryeong showcased her archery skills in the music video. Lia mentioned, "We filmed scenes in natural settings abroad, and the members also tried action scenes. We did special makeup and styling to match the outdoor vibe, and our outfits were fierce and blended with nature." Chaeryeong proudly added, "I actually shot a bow. During 'Idol Star Athletics Championships', I scored around 4 points, but the directors praised me this time."
On the same day ITZY released their new album, other groups like KISS OF LIFE, QWER, and IZNA also made their comebacks. Yeji commented, "We're enjoying the activities together with other groups." She added, "We're looking forward to the activities of other senior and junior groups, and we hope to show our best as well."
The new album includes five tracks: the title track 'Girls Will Be Girls', 'Kiss & Tell', 'Locked N Loaded', 'Promise', and 'Walk'. The title track, sharing the album's name, features dynamic beats and impressive vocal harmonies.
ITZY's new mini-album 'Girls Will Be Girls' was released at 6 PM today.
