Kanye West's Seoul Concert Canceled Amid Controversy Over New Song
Kanye West, also known as Ye, has had his upcoming concert in Seoul canceled.

Coupang Play announced on the 19th that they have decided to cancel the 'YE Seoul Concert' scheduled for the 31st due to recent controversies. They also stated that all related merchandise sales have been halted immediately.

The cancellation follows the release of Kanye's new song, which has sparked significant backlash. On May 8th, coinciding with Europe's Victory Day commemorating the end of World War II, Kanye released a digital single titled 'Hail Hitler,' which has been widely criticized.

The controversial song includes lyrics repeating "All my friends are Nazis. Hail Hitler" more than ten times, and it samples a speech by Adolf Hitler from 1935.

Jim Burk, a representative from the Simon Wiesenthal Center, an American Jewish human rights organization, expressed strong disapproval in an interview with Billboard magazine, stating that releasing such a song on a day marking the defeat of the Nazi regime is a clear hate speech.

Kanye has faced similar controversies in the past. In 2022, he sparked outrage by expressing admiration for Hitler in an interview and sharing an image combining the Nazi swastika with the Star of David, a symbol of Judaism.
