G-Dragon's Music Becomes a Cosmic Message: A Historic Broadcast to Space

The agency stated, "This project goes beyond a mere musical attempt. It aims to permanently preserve human culture in space and accelerate the innovation of AI entertainment technology by attempting communication with other civilizations."
On the 9th, the 'G-Dragon Space Music Transmission Project' took place at the KAIST Satellite Center, in collaboration with NASA's SETI project, adding to its significance. The SETI project previously transmitted music by The Beatles into space, and G-Dragon is now the first Korean artist to be part of a SETI project.
During the event, themed 'Expanding the Universe Within to the Outer Universe,' G-Dragon's iris image and the song 'Home Sweet Home' were combined using AI and broadcasted via a 13M space antenna. Shortly after his performance, at approximately 8:27 PM, G-Dragon greeted with "Hello, this is G-Dragon" (about 100Kbps), followed two minutes later by the transmission of the song 'Home Sweet Home' (about 3Mbps) into space. The Satellite Research Institute plans to broadcast the song once daily.

Yong-ho Choi, Chief Happiness Officer of Galaxy Corporation, commented, "G-Dragon's voice and music have embarked on a journey to space. This project is more than just a music transmission; it carries the dreams and imagination of humanity into space. It marks a pioneering step in introducing human culture to the cosmos and will remain a monumental performance in music history."
