Sung Si-kyung Announces Hiatus from 'Wedding Song' Concert Series After 13 Years

On April 5, Sung Si-kyung shared on Instagram, "I have decided to take a break from 'Sung Si-kyung's Wedding Song,' which started in 2012, for the first time in 14 years."
He expressed, "Taking a break from a concert that brings me immense joy and love every time requires a lot of courage. Last year was packed with performances, and I felt the need for some time to recharge."
Sung reassured fans, saying, "I'm not disappearing or retiring, so don't worry. Please understand and support this difficult decision with an open heart."
He added, "Although I'm not entirely resting, I plan to use this time wisely, take care of myself, try new things, and prepare good music. Hopefully, I can hold a concert at the end of the year with this new music."
Since 2012, Sung Si-kyung has held the 'Wedding Song' concert annually in May at the Yonsei University Open-Air Theater.
Below is Sung Si-kyung's full statement:

I was so moved by the drama 'Poksak Sogassuda' that I cried a lot. The writing, acting, directing, and everything from the main to supporting roles and art were truly amazing.
I was jotting down some notes at the piano and decided to post this.
I mentioned to the audience during the concert that I plan to take a break from 'Sung Si-kyung's Wedding Song' after 14 years.
