BLACKPINK's Jennie Makes History at Billboard Women in Music 2025

On February 29th, Jennie attended the Billboard Women in Music 2025 ceremony at the YouTube Theater in Los Angeles, where she was honored with the Global Force Award.
In her acceptance speech, Jennie expressed her gratitude to her fans, saying, "It is truly an honor and a source of pride to receive the Global Force Award in a place filled with beautiful women who inspire so many. I draw inspiration from women all over the world and hope to continue being a positive influence on many."
The Billboard Women in Music awards recognize the top female artists, creators, producers, and executives who have made a significant impact on the music industry over the past year. Billboard previously described Jennie as "a unique force who has gained explosive global influence since starting her solo career."
Jennie's debut solo album, 'Ruby,' has been breaking records and creating a global sensation. 'Ruby' charted on the Billboard 200 for two consecutive weeks, while the title track 'like JENNIE' reached the Top 10 on both the Billboard Global (excluding the U.S.) and Global 200 charts for two weeks in a row.
Additionally, 'Ruby' entered the UK Official Albums Chart Top 100 at number 3, setting a new record for a K-pop female solo artist. Jennie also became the first K-pop artist this year to remain on the chart for three consecutive weeks.
Jennie is set to perform solo at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, one of the largest music festivals in the U.S., on April 13th and 20th.
