Korean Musicians Kim Dong-ryul and Lee Juck Mourn the Loss of Seo Dong-wook
Korean singers Kim Dong-ryul and Lee Juck have expressed their heartfelt condolences for the late Seo Dong-wook.
On the 22nd, Kim Dong-ryul shared on his social media, "After erasing and rewriting several times, I finally write this. The day after sending you off, I am alone, missing you. Why is a funeral only three days? The past three days of sharing sorrow with those who knew you were so precious and gave me strength." He expressed his longing after Seo Dong-wook's funeral.
He continued, "Dong-wook, could my youth exist without you? High school, college, military, and our band Exhibition. During our most youthful, beautiful, and shining times, we were always together. I loved and respected you so much. That's why I wasn't sorry at all when I sent you off after Exhibition. You lived up to my expectations and wrote a legendary story."
Kim Dong-ryul added, "Whenever I was struggling and about to collapse, you were always by my side. I hope I was there for you when you were struggling too. If there were moments I wasn't, I'm truly sorry."
Lee Juck also paid tribute to the late Seo. He wrote, "A friend I loved and respected the most, with whom I shared everything. A close friend, colleague, neighborhood friend, and uncle to my children. I have sent him off. I'm afraid of how often I will feel his absence, but I am grateful for everything until now and pray deeply for his peace in a good place. I love you, Dong-wook."
Meanwhile, Seo Dong-wook, a former member of the popular 1990s duo Exhibition, passed away on the 18th at the age of 50. While the exact cause of death has not been disclosed, it is known that he had been suffering from an illness.
Seo Dong-wook formed the band Exhibition with Kim Dong-ryul, and they entered the music scene by winning the MBC 'College Music Festival' in 1993 with their song 'In a Dream.' Seo and Kim were classmates at Whimoon High School and Yonsei University, and they were friends from their school days. Seo was also close to Lee Juck. Full Text of Kim Dong-ryul's Message

Dong-wook.
Could my youth exist without you?
High school, college, military, and our band Exhibition.
During our most youthful, beautiful, and shining times, we were always together.
I loved and respected you so much.
That's why I wasn't sorry at all when I sent you off after Exhibition.
You lived up to my expectations and wrote a legendary story.
Whenever I was struggling and about to collapse, you were always by my side.
I hope I was there for you when you were struggling too.
If there were moments I wasn't, I'm truly sorry.
I'm so angry and resentful that you left me so early.
How am I supposed to fill your absence, you bad guy.
I miss you so much, Dong-wook.
I love you, I'm sorry, and thank you.

Sending Off
On the night when stars were fading one by one, you were there.
Like a line of wind, you seemed to disappear quickly.
Instead of words exchanged with eyes, you were smiling.
In the gap of long silence, I was crying.
You asked where the end of the world is.
If you wait there, will you see me someday?
I knew the end of the world was now.
But I told you
That place might not see stars fade.
As sunlight slowly seeped in, I closed my eyes.
I wanted to pretend not to know and fall asleep forever.
Was the gentle touch the wind?
When I suddenly opened my eyes, I was already gone.
You asked where the end of time is.
After countless days, will you see me?
I knew tomorrow wouldn't come.
But I told you
