MAMAMOO Members Focus on Solo Projects Ahead of June Comeback
In the music video, Wheein highlights various forms of violence in society, such as domestic and school violence, beyond just relationship issues. The video begins by showing individuals in distress, who eventually find solace in each other through hugs and hand-holding.
A fan commented on the official YouTube music video, "I cried while watching. It gave me hope that even if I can't completely escape violence, I can be understood." Another fan noted, "I sense a sensitivity behind her usual playful demeanor. It feels like her personal story is included, which makes it even more touching."
As of April 17, the music video has surpassed 14 million views on YouTube and ranks 36th on Melon's main chart TOP100. A viewer commented, "This music video seems to honor Hwasa's past while declaring a desire to live purely like a child, enjoying life without constraints."
Solar is also active in the Chinese market alongside Moonbyul, who is still with their original agency, RBW. Solar held a fan signing event in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, on April 12, promoting her Chinese single 'Your Own Star', released in March. The single topped Taiwan's iTunes 'Top Songs' chart and gained popularity on major Chinese music charts like QQ Music and Kugou Music. Solar also won the 'Best Skilled Singer of the Year' award at the 'Weibo Gala 2026 Weibo Cultural Exchange Night' in Macau. She is set to perform in Taipei, Taiwan, on May 10.
MAMAMOO members will conclude their solo activities in May and return as a full group in June to celebrate their 12th anniversary. This project aims to make up for the lack of events during their 10th anniversary in 2024. The upcoming comeback and world tour are anticipated to satisfy fans who have been waiting for the past two years.
