2NE1 Ignites Japan with Electrifying Live Performances on Their 15th Anniversary Tour

K-pop legends 2NE1 set Japan ablaze with their powerful live performances, proving their enduring popularity.

On October 13th, 14th, and 15th, 2NE1 held their '2024 2NE1 CONCERT [WELCOME BACK] IN JAPAN' at Tokyo's Ariake Arena. Initially scheduled for two days, the concerts on the 14th and 15th sold out rapidly, prompting an additional show to meet the high demand, showcasing their lasting appeal in Japan.

Amidst deafening cheers, 2NE1 opened the concert with a bang, performing 'Come Back Home' and their debut track 'Fire.' The group continued to energize the audience with hits like 'Clap Your Hands,' 'Can't Nobody,' and 'Do You Love Me,' delivering a setlist packed with mega-hits that kept fans on their feet throughout the show.

During their previous activities, 2NE1 achieved numerous K-pop records in Japan, enjoying immense popularity. Celebrating their 15th anniversary, they delighted local fans by performing some of their hits, including 'I Am the Best,' in Japanese, bringing smiles to the audience.

A special surprise performance left everyone in awe. BabyMonster, who previously appeared as a guest at the Seoul concert, made their Japanese debut, showcasing their 'monster rookie' presence with a powerful performance. The unexpected guest appearance heightened the excitement, and both 2NE1 and BabyMonster expressed mutual admiration, highlighting the warm camaraderie between YG girl group seniors and juniors.

The members' commanding stage presence, combined with YG's high-quality production featuring LED displays, live bands, and dancers, brought the encore to a fever pitch. Overwhelmed by the beautifully lit sea of fan light sticks, the members expressed their gratitude, saying, "Thank you to Blackjack (fan club name) for always being by our side. Let's stay together forever. We love you."

Meanwhile, 2NE1 is currently on their 15th-anniversary Asia tour, spanning 12 cities with 25 shows. Having successfully completed concerts in Seoul, Manila, Jakarta, Kobe, Hong Kong, and Tokyo, the group is set to continue their tour in Singapore, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Taipei, Ho Chi Minh City, and Macau, maintaining the momentum of their electrifying performances.
