SEVENTEEN Paints New York with Their Unique Colors: A Spectacular Show and Fan Events
New York City was awash with the colors of the K-pop group SEVENTEEN (S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, The8, Mingyu, DK, Seungkwan, Vernon, Dino) as they performed to a sold-out crowd. The concert was marked by enthusiastic Korean 'sing-alongs,' and the streets of SoHo and Times Square were bustling with CARATs (the fandom name) enjoying various events. SEVENTEEN successfully held their 'SEVENTEEN [RIGHT HERE] WORLD TOUR IN US' at the UBS Arena in New York on the 25th and 27th of the month. The two-day event sold out immediately upon ticket release, showcasing their immense popularity in the region. Over the course of approximately three hours, the group performed 22 songs, thrilling local fans. The concert kicked off with performances of 'Fear,' 'Fearless,' and 'MAESTRO,' setting an electrifying tone from the start. SEVENTEEN showcased their wide musical spectrum with intense tracks like 'Ash' and 'Crush,' as well as upbeat songs such as 'Oh My!,' 'Snap Shoot,' and 'God of Music,' demonstrating their prowess as 'concert masters.' When SEVENTEEN performed the English version of their mini 12th album's title track 'LOVE, MONEY, FAME (feat. DJ Khaled),' the venue erupted with cheers. The performance was a gift to North American CARATs, who responded with fervent enthusiasm. The unique performances highlighting each unit's individuality and the signature encore 'Infinite Anas' (a seemingly endless repetition of 'Very NICE') captivated fans, who responded with passionate sing-alongs. The members expressed their gratitude, saying, 'It's a miracle that SEVENTEEN and CARATs found each other among so many people in New York. Seeing you fill this large venue beautifully and enjoy the concert makes us proud. We will strive to finish the remaining North American tour splendidly. Please join us when all 13 members of SEVENTEEN return to New York.' The area around UBS Arena turned into a 'CARAT festival.' Messages from fans worldwide covered the ground, and food trucks played SEVENTEEN's concert videos nonstop. Fans dressed in costumes inspired by SEVENTEEN's stage outfits gathered, and some played the 'Red Ginseng Game' from SEVENTEEN's content 'Going SEVENTEEN.' When a guide shouted 'Horangehae' in Korean, cheers erupted. Various events before and after the concert attracted not only CARATs but also New York citizens and tourists. The 'CARAT STATION NYC,' a pop-up event in collaboration with global audio and music streaming platform Spotify, was held in SoHo. The train station-themed pop-up drew long lines from early morning. Near New York's iconic Times Square, a dance flash mob for 'LOVE, MONEY, FAME (feat. DJ Khaled)' took place as part of the offline fan event 'CARAT WORLD.' SEVENTEEN will continue their tour in Texas (October 31, November 1), Oakland (November 5-6), and Los Angeles (November 9-10). The tour, spanning 10 shows across five U.S. cities, has seen nine sold-out performances, reflecting the group's immense popularity. SEVENTEEN plans to extend their 'SEVENTEEN [RIGHT HERE] WORLD TOUR' to four domes in Japan in November and December and major Asian cities early next year.
