Jeon Soyeon in Final Negotiations for Contract Renewal with Cube Entertainment

Jeon Soyeon of (G)I-DLE is set to engage in final discussions regarding her contract renewal with Cube Entertainment by the end of October. Contrary to some speculations, reports of a failed contract renewal are unfounded.

According to a TenAsia report on the 25th, Jeon Soyeon has exchanged detailed terms, including specific conditions for a contract renewal, with Cube Entertainment as her current contract is set to expire in early November. Both parties have agreed to hold final discussions based on these terms by the end of this month.

Previously, on August 3rd, during (G)I-DLE's solo concert 'IDOL' at KSPO DOME in Songpa-gu, Seoul, Jeon Soyeon made headlines by altering lyrics during her solo performance of 'Is this bad b****** number?' to announce her contract expiration in November, stating, "Do I have to care about others' opinions?" and "November contract ends. Who can stop me?"

This led to rumors of discord between Jeon Soyeon and Cube, with pessimistic views on the contract renewal. However, Jeon Soyeon has expressed her intention to renew her contract with Cube, with negotiations and adjustments on specific terms still ongoing.

Earlier, reports surfaced claiming that Jeon Soyeon's contract renewal with Cube had failed, but Cube Entertainment clarified, "The contract renewal with Jeon Soyeon has not failed. Discussions are still ongoing. Additionally, Jeon Soyeon will continue to fulfill her scheduled activities."

In fact, Jeon Soyeon is currently participating in (G)I-DLE's world tour and is expected to partake in various scheduled activities with (G)I-DLE in November.
