YG's New Girl Group BABYMONSTER Begins Filming for First Full-Length Album Music Video
YG's next-generation rookie girl group BABYMONSTER has started filming the music video for their first full-length album today.

On the 23rd, YG Entertainment announced that they plan to produce several music videos, including the title track, for BABYMONSTER's first full-length album, which is scheduled to be released this fall. The filming will take place across various pre-secured locations, aiming to complete this large-scale project with full support.

This move reflects the confidence of YG's general producer, Yang Hyun-suk, in BABYMONSTER. It indicates their determination to put all efforts into promoting the title track and other songs included in the full-length album.

A YG representative stated, "The recording work for BABYMONSTER's first full-length album is complete, and we are in the final stages. The choreography for several songs, which will be filmed over the next few weeks, is also finished."

Previously, BABYMONSTER confirmed their official debut date as April 1st with the release of their first mini-album 'BABYMONS7ER.' The music video for the title track 'SHEESH' set a new record for the fastest K-pop girl group debut song to reach 100 million views (in 10 days) and is currently nearing 300 million views. The choreography video has also surpassed 150 million views, gaining significant popularity.

BABYMONSTER's popularity began to rise gradually as the live performance skills of the seven members were highlighted, rather than through conventional promotions. When 'SHEESH' was first released, it did not make a significant impact on major charts. However, as the members' excellent live performance skills became known, the song climbed the charts and remained in the top ranks for an extended period.

To build anticipation for their full-length album, BABYMONSTER pre-released 'FOREVER,' one of the album's tracks, on July 1st. They also connected with fans through a global fan meeting tour, covering 12 events in 7 cities across Asia. At Japan's largest music festival, 'Summer Sonic 2024,' they showcased their unparalleled talent to music fans worldwide.

A YG representative added, "We wanted to share the news of the confirmed release of BABYMONSTER's full-length album with the many global fans who have supported and waited for them. We hope this album will provide an opportunity to meet the fans who have been cheering for BABYMONSTER from afar. We are now in the final stages of preparation for a new and bigger beginning. We will soon share more detailed information, including the release date."
