LUCY Returns with Genre-Spanning Album 'Childish'
On the 23rd, LUCY (Shin Ye-chan, Choi Sang-yeop, Cho Won-sang, Shin Kwang-il) released a highlight medley of their second full-length album 'Childish' on their official social media channels.
In the released video, LUCY showcases the highlights of five new songs from the album through a live band performance, maximizing the emotion and atmosphere of each track.
The album opens with 'Sprout,' which delivers an overwhelming sense of emotion against the backdrop of a lush forest. The scene then shifts to a dark, abandoned building covered in concrete, with flickering lights matching the lyrics "black" as 'Chameleon' follows, enhancing the immersion.
'Porch Light (Feat. Nam Jae-hyun)' flows over Cho Won-sang's low murmurs in a phone booth at night, while 'Goo Goo Jeol Jeol' captures Shin Kwang-il as if taking a late-night walk. The title track 'All Ages' brings the members back to the forest, delivering vibrant energy with their signature lively and refreshing band sound, raising anticipation with its sensory visuals.
'Childish' is LUCY's first full album in about 1 year and 8 months. It includes a total of 15 tracks, featuring five new songs, the title track 'All Ages,' and reinterpreted versions of existing songs in 'Childish ver.' Notably, fans are excited to hear complete versions of tracks from their 6th and 7th mini-albums with Shin Kwang-il's vocals.
Through 'Childish,' LUCY connects the series from their first full album 'Childhood,' depicting a journey to find innocence amidst a harsh reality. Cho Won-sang, who has produced all of LUCY's albums, led the overall production of this album, with Shin Ye-chan, Choi Sang-yeop, and Shin Kwang-il also participating in writing and composing, further solidifying LUCY's musical world.
Ahead of the album release, LUCY will hold a special busking event, 'LUCY 2ND FULL ALBUM 'Childish' SPECIAL BUSKING,' on the 25th at 3 PM in Seoul, offering a special time with fans. The exact location will be revealed three hours before the busking.
Following this, LUCY will host a solo concert, 'LUCY 9th CONCERT 'ISLAND',' on May 16-17 at the KSPO DOME in Olympic Park, Songpa-gu, Seoul. This marks LUCY's debut at the KSPO DOME, drawing attention as they expand the narrative of 'LUCY ISLAND' onto the stage, promising a more complete band performance.
LUCY's second full album 'Childish' will be released on various music sites at 6 PM on the 29th.
