Le Seraphim nominated for 2024 VMA ‘Push Performance of the Year’

The group LE SSERAFIM was nominated for an award at the prestigious American music awards ceremony 'MTV Video Music Awards'.

According to the list of this year's award candidates announced by the '2024 MTV Video Music Awards' ('2024 MTV VMA') on the official website and SNS on the 6th (local time), Le Seraphim (Chaewon Kim, Sakura) , Heo Yun-jin, Kazuha, Hong Eun-chae) were nominated for ‘PUSH Performance of the Year’.

For the ‘Push Performance of the Year’, artists who were previously selected for the ‘MTV PUSH’ campaign compete for the trophy. The 'MTV PUSH' campaign is a project in which MTV selects an artist every month and focuses on their interviews, performances, and digital content. Le Seraphim was the first K-pop girl group to be selected as the artist of June for the 'MTV PUSH' campaign.

Le Seraphim was the only K-pop singer to be nominated for ‘Push Performance of the Year’. These artists include Victoria Monét, who won three awards including the 'Best Newcomer Award' at the '66th Grammy Awards', Laufey, the youngest person to win 'Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album' at the same awards ceremony, and 'Beautiful Things.' ' and competes with 11 musicians, including Benson Boone, who ranked 2nd on Billboard's main song chart 'Hot 100' and 1st on the UK Official Singles Chart.

This is the first time that Le Seraphim has been nominated for an 'MTV VMA' award. The 'MTV VMA' is considered one of the four major American pop music awards ceremonies along with the 'Grammy Awards', 'Billboard Music Awards', and 'American Music Awards'. Le Seraphim topped the US Billboard's two main charts, 'Billboard 200' and 'Hot 100', with the title song of the same name as the 3rd mini album 'EASY' released in February this year, and won the 'MTV VMA' two years after debut. He was selected as a candidate and showed off his heightened global status.

Meanwhile, Le Seraphim will release their 4th mini album ‘CRAZY’ containing the message, “Let’s just go crazy with Le Seraphim” at 1 PM on the 30th. Prior to this, the trailer for the new album will be released on the 13th.
