Jeon So-yeon, (G)I-DLE’s strongest identity and biggest risk

(G)I-DLE held their world tour '2024 (G)I-DLE WORLD TOUR 'iDOL'' (Idol) Seoul performance at KSPO DOME in Songpa-gu, Seoul on the 3rd.
On this day's concert, the lyrics in Soyeon's solo stage became a problem. Soyeon asks 'Is this bad b****** number?' He performed on stage, and during the performance, he cursed, saying, "Should I be paying attention?" and surprised some fans by saying, "My contract ends in November. Someone stop me."
Soyeon incorporated the usually confidential date of contract termination into her lyrics, which led to fans' curiosity about whether (G)I-DLE will be able to continue their activities. In response, Cube Entertainment, the agency, responded, "All members are due to renew their contracts next year, and Jeon So-yeon's claim to renew her contract in the second half of this year is only part of her lyrical performance."
Despite the agency's position, some fans pointed out that Soyeon's mention of the end of her contract was somewhat hasty and inconsiderate. At a concert where excitement was at its peak, voices were raised that there was no need to remind the audience of (G)I-DLE's uncertain future. In addition, regardless of whether there was prior discussion regarding the lyrics, there is also an interpretation that this can be seen as a strategy to give the agency a negotiating advantage.

However, Soyeon is raising the public's eyebrows with her lack of consideration for other people's opinions, such as not shying away from swearing and making bombshell declarations without hesitation. Somehow, it seems to have become the biggest risk to (G)I-DLE’s long run.
