Taylor Swift becomes a billionaire
American pop star Taylor Swift (34) joined the ranks of billionaires compiled by the American business magazine Forbes, accumulating the greatest wealth among singers around the world.

On the 2nd (local time), Swift was named to the list of 'New Billionaires 2024' published by Forbes. Forbes selected Swift as the most famous new person to join the ranks of billionaires this year.

Swift is known to have amassed a total fortune estimated at $1.1 billion (KRW 1.4878 trillion) through blockbuster concert profits, income from album and music sales, and real estate investments. Multiple foreign media reported that Swift also owns a significant real estate portfolio, including homes in New York, Beverly Hills in Los Angeles (LA), Nashville, and a coastal mansion in Rhode Island.

Forbes explained that Swift is the first musician to amass a wealth of over $1 billion solely through singing and performing.

In particular, Swift has been breaking all-time performance income records, earning over 1 billion dollars in income from the 'Eras Tour', which has been touring five continents around the world since last year.

In addition, it won 'Album of the Year', the highest award, at the Grammy Awards last February, breaking the record for the most awards in history with four.

Swift plans to release her new album 'The Tortured Poets Department' on the 19th.
