JD1, ‘2024 Weversecon Festival’ appears

‘Jeong Dong-won’s alt-character’ JD1 will appear at the ‘Weversecon Festival’ in June.

Today, on the 15th, the agency Showplay Entertainment announced, “JD1 will appear at the ‘2024 Weverse Con Festival’ to be held at Inspire Entertainment Resort in Yeongjongdo, Incheon on June 15th and 16th.”

The '2024 Weversecon Festival', held for the second time this year, is a large-scale music festival held to create a place for integration that transcends music genres and generations and a new fan experience.

JD1 is highly anticipated to present an unrivaled live stage that will further heighten the heat of early summer with its powerful singing ability and intense performance at this festival.

According to the first artist lineup previously released on the fandom life platform Weverse and the Weversecon Festival website, including JD1, TWS, ILLIT, BOYNEXTDOOR, &TEAM, and Ima It attracted attention with a strong lineup of a total of 10 teams of rookies and popular artists attracting attention at home and abroad, including imase, CHUU, JUST B, Billli, and fromis_9.

JD1 is an independent persona created by producer singer Jeong Dong-won to challenge various genres, and is an idol designed to challenge the K-POP market. It was created over a period of about two years with a lot of effort put into production in various directions, including song, choreography, and styling.

Meanwhile, JD1, as a secondary character of singer Jeong Dong-won, made his mark on the K-pop scene by releasing his first single 'who Am I' on January 11th.
