JYP Entertainment (hereinafter referred to as JYP)'s new global girl group VCHA has released a behind-the-scenes cut of the music video for its official debut song 'Girls of the Year'.

VCHA (Lexi, Camilla, Kendall, Savannah, Cage, Kaylee) released their first single 'Girls of the Year' and the title song of the same name on January 26th. The new song 'Girls of the Year' contains VCHA's bold aspirations, precious dreams, and lofty goals to 'become the girls who represent this year'. The hopeful melody, the passionate performance of the six members, and the bright energy created a synergy.

The music video for 'Girls of the Year' shows scenes of six girls who dream of becoming artists gathering in a practice room and concentrating on practicing, and scenes of them becoming world-famous stars, performing on stage, or becoming the main characters of fashion magazines. The story of doing their best to achieve a dream and finally performing on a spectacular stage reminds us of the growth narrative of VCHA, who made her official debut through the global girl group launching project 'A2K' (A2K, America2Korea). As of January 27, one day after its release, the music video was ranked in the top 5 YouTube music video trends worldwide, and as of the afternoon of the 31st, it recorded 4.56 million views on YouTube and is on the verge of exceeding 5 million views.

In the behind-the-scenes photos of the new song music video released by JYP on the morning of February 1, VCHA wore sporty outfits and showed off visuals like a teen movie character. It captured attention by expressing the confident aura of a magazine cover model and a superstar on stage. In particular, Lexi, Camilla, Kendall, Savannah, Cage, and Kaylee conveyed pleasant energy to viewers with their lively smiles and lively atmosphere.

The six-member rookie girl group VCHA was created through the mega-project 'A2K', a collaboration between JYP, a representative K-pop agency, and Republic Records, the No. 1 label in the United States selected by Billboard under Universal Music Group. Even before their official debut, they were highlighted by leading media outlets, including Nylon in the U.S., and on the 26th (local time), they were selected as the '11 Rookie K-Pop Acts To Know K-Pop Rookie Teams to Watch in 2024' announced by Grammy.com in the U.S. In 2024), Rolling Stone's 'All the Songs You Need to Know This Week', and Entertainment Tonight's 'New Music Friday' list. In addition, it was introduced in leading overseas media such as Billboard, Rolling Stone Korea, Sweetie High, Pop Crush, Hype Bay, and The Messenger, raising expectations even more.

VCHA, who has emerged as a 'Worldwide Rookie', will be holding Twice's fifth world tour at the Foro Sol in Mexico City, Mexico on February 2nd and 3rd, Allianz Parque in Sao Paulo, Brazil on the 6th and 7th, and Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, USA on March 16th. They will decorate the opening stage of the 'READY TO BE' performance and begin their full-fledged performance.
