Gummy successfully completes first national concert tour

Gummy's national tour concert <LOVE> opened for the first time.

The 'GUMMY Tour Concert 2023 <LOVE>' held at the Grand Theater of Gwangju Arts Center on the 18th and 19th opened for the first time. Gummy received an explosive response from the first performance of the tour, giving the audience a warm emotion worthy of a representative player of the year-end tour.

Gummy, who opened the show with a lovely song 'Love Recipe', said, "I am happy to announce the start of this year's year-end tour in Gwangju, which is like my hometown," and "I am so grateful," he said to the audience in the Gwangju dialect. He continued, “Even though my representative songs are breakup songs, I titled this year’s tour <LOVE>. “As I got older, I wrote more songs about life rather than breakups, and I wanted to express the many types of love that exist in the world,” he said, introducing the title of the performance.

Gummy's concert was the essence of a high-quality live performance that proved his qualifications as a premium vocalist for over three hours. It was a stage where Gummy's irreplaceable musicality could be felt, including not only representative ballads but also R&B, jazz, and hip-hop, with a composition that highlighted Gummy's colorful tones and musicality.

Under the theme of 'LOVE', the songs that cover 20 years of Gummy's music are diverse, combining the theme of sad unrequited love, the feeling of being lonely even when together, the sad and sorrowful ordeal of separation, the warm feelings of friends and family, and the cry to love yourself. She showed off the abilities of a ‘vocal queen’ in this genre.

As a year-end concert, special stages also attracted attention. Gummy showed off the charm of the legendary Gummy by reinterpreting Blackpink Jisoo's 'Flower', New Jeans' 'Hype Boy', and BTS Jungkook's 'Seven' all live with the band. Although the singer is celebrating his 20th anniversary, it was a performance that raised expectations for the music he would perform in the future more than the music he had shown so far.

The response from the concert audience was also enthusiastic. Gummy communicated with the audience by reading stories they had received in advance. Three sons, from 6th grade to high school, came with their parents and received a positive response by choosing Gummy as their favorite artist instead of their favorite idol, while 11 male classmates in their 50s who have been in the stepgroup for 31 years also attracted attention. In response, Gummy impressed the audience by leaving a video letter to the audience with various stories.

At the end of the performance, Gummy said, “I am grateful that I was able to end my first concert on such a high note thanks to you all. When I perform, I feel like I've become closer to everyone towards the end. I remember it even when I go back, and I hope my song today will remain as a memory for you all. I hope you enjoy the rest of the year and take care of your health. “Thank you again,” he said.

Legendary singer Gummy's 'absolutely amazing' tour concert has landed. Gummy's next concert, which will be the hottest performance at the end of this year, is scheduled to be held in Daegu on December 9 and 10, and after that, Gummy will continue concerts in Seoul, Busan, and Seongnam.
