Lim Young-woong confirmed to win 1st place in Seoul Music Awards Popularity Award

Singer Lim Young-woong won the Popularity Award at the Seoul Music Awards with overwhelming support from domestic fans.

Lim Young-woong ranked first with a total of 1,224,433 votes, including 541,348 votes (52.58%) in the first round and 683,085 votes (56.59%) in the second round, with 100% reflected mobile voting.

Lim Young-woong, who won the final victory in TV Chosun's 'Mr. Trot' in 2020 and won the true crown, is a singer representing the current music industry who digests all genres as well as trot. He is leading the music industry craze and receiving overwhelming support from a wide range of age groups.

Last year, the first full-length album 'I'm Hero' exceeded 1 million copies in initial sales, and the first national tour concert attracted 170,000 audiences nationwide, setting an unprecedented record as a solo singer. He is the first trot singer to enter Gocheok Dome and will begin his overseas activities in earnest by announcing a solo concert in Los Angeles, USA for two days from February 11th to 12th.

Lim Young-woong also ranked first in the main awards mobile voting with 2,663,081 votes (23.97%), and also took first place in the trot and OST categories, making him likely to win four awards.

The '32nd Seoul Music Awards' awards ceremony (hosted by Sports Seoul and hosted by the Seoul Music Awards Organizing Committee), which will sum up the music industry in 2022, will be held at KSPO DOME (former gymnastics stadium) at Olympic Park in Songpa-gu, Seoul on the 19th.
