YG's new girl group Baby Monster releases Luca's personal introduction video as the first hitter

YG Entertainment posted 'BABYMONSTER - Introducing RUKA' on its official blog at midnight on the 9th. Among the Baby Monster members, 20-year-old Japanese Luca was introduced as the first runner.
Luca, who revealed that he had been practicing dancing for over 10 years at the time of the YG trainee audition, rocked the scene by performing a high-quality performance without hesitation. This is because we have already built a solid foundation through constant efforts. He said, “I feel happy and good when I dance,” and devoted himself to practice whenever he had time, regardless of time and place.
Luca's performance was completed through YG's systematic training. Executive producer Yang Hyun-seok said, "Luca is a trainee who has always been good at dancing, and his facial expressions are really good. He has never once pointed out any shortcomings in his dancing," while Li Jeong said, "In addition to his solid fundamentals, he has the experience that other people his age do not have." “Not only does he pull off simple choreography, but the aura he exudes during his freestyle is unrivaled,” he praised.
In addition to the dance, the intense rapping that deeply engraved YG's hip-hop identity also captured both ears. At the time of the month-end evaluation, despite being a Japanese member, Luca spoke Korean perfectly and performed a rap he made himself. In response, YG producer Victon expressed surprise, saying, “Even when Luca stays still, he feels like a ‘rapper’.”
While he has made a mark as an 'all-rounder' with high-level capabilities, his friendly daily life has been revealed. Luca enjoyed music and joked around with Ahyeon and Chiquita, and made global fans smile with his innocent look, saying that the coffee was still bitter.
He also shared honest, unadorned stories. Luca touched viewers' hearts with his confession, "I will work harder in the future to repay my family who are waiting for my debut more than anyone else," and "I want to debut as a great artist and show my unique charm."
Meanwhile, Baby Monster is a new girl group released by YG about 7 years after Blackpink, and most of them are teenagers. The multinational composition of 3 Korean members (Ahyun, Haram, Laura), 2 Thai members (Parita, Chiquita), and 2 Japanese members (Luca, Asa) can be expected to be a new talent prepared by YG targeting the global market. Not only have they put a lot of effort into it for a long time, but general producer Yang Hyun-seok personally announced their debut, so it is expected that they will change the landscape of the global music market beyond the domestic music industry in 2023.
