Blackpink sells out world tour Mexico concert
With BLACKPINK's world tour underway, they confirmed their strong global popularity by confirming the opening of additional concerts with all tickets sold out in Mexico.
YG Entertainment announced on the 10th that it will hold an additional Mexico City performance of 'BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR [BORN PINK]'. The Mexico City performance scheduled for April 26th was sold out, and the concert schedule was expanded due to explosive demand.
As a result, Blackpink was able to meet Mexican fans on April 26th and 27th. This is a moment that once again makes us realize their distinct presence and powerful ticket power as global artists.
The Mexico City performance will be held at FORO SOL, where leading pop stars such as Coldplay, One Direction, and Justin Bieber have performed. Blackpink is the first K-pop girl group to enter a large stadium in the region that can accommodate more than 50,000 people, and is expected to attract about 100,000 viewers with just two performances.
Meanwhile, Blackpink is currently conducting the largest world tour for a K-pop girl group, mobilizing approximately 1.5 million people. After successfully completing 14 North American concerts in 7 cities and 10 European tours in 7 cities last year, they are heading to Asia to meet more fans. Additionally, they will perform as headliners at the 'Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival' in the US in April and the 'Hyde Park British Summer Time Festival' in the UK in July.
