Yuju “New album ‘O’ is an album with no regrets”

Yuju, a former member of the group GFriend, expressed satisfaction with her new album ‘O’.

On the 7th, Yuju held a press conference commemorating the release of her new mini album 'O' at Spigen Hall located in Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu.

The new album '0' is an album that unravels the situations and emotions Yuju has experienced so far under the theme of 'travel'. It started from the idea that the numerous flows, such as excitement, hate and love, confusion and stability, that arose within it eventually turned around, like a large circle. For the first time, the album name contains the ‘meaning of shapes’ rather than the ‘meaning of words’.

In addition, from the 1st track '9 Years', which contains Yuju's past time, to the 3rd track 'Dreaming', the 4th track 'Peach Blossom' featuring Sokodomo, and the 5th track 'Full Circle', which is similar to the album name, etc. It is contained in this album.

In particular, Yuju wrote lyrics for '9 Years', the title song 'Without U', 'Dreaming', 'Peach Blossom', and 'Full Circle' in this album.

On this day, Yuju confessed, "I made this album without any regrets. After it was completed, the nervousness I felt when I first started working on it disappeared and I felt comfortable and relieved."

The person in charge of hosting the press conference that day was YouTuber Satire. Regarding the reason for asking Satire, Yuju said, "I like Satire's humor code. I thought it would make the atmosphere of the scene pleasant without offending the other party."

Regarding the work period, which took a considerable amount of time, he said, "Usually I decide on the songs to record before starting work. But this time, I recorded several songs first and selected songs that fit the flow of the story." He continued, “I couldn’t work quickly, but I put my heart and soul into each stitch.”

He also explained, “This album captures ‘me as I am.’ I think those who listen to it will also feel comfortable.” In addition, he said, "In the last album, the lyrics and content were unfiltered, but this time, I will show my appearance and emotions. I think it suits my current situation and age."

Lastly, he also revealed the emotions he felt after his debut. Yuju said, "The past nine years cannot be expressed in one word. The lyrics of the first track 'Nine Years' are a song sung to me when I was in my second year of high school. I want to hug myself. If you listen to the song, you will know my story. “It will,” he said.

Meanwhile, Yuju's new album 'O', which will prove Yuju's serious musicality, will be released through various music sites at 6 PM on this day.
