YG's new girl group Baby Monster, '3 people, 3 colors' overwhelming vocal solo stage
YG's new girl group BABYMONSTER entered a vocal solo mission and completed a perfect cover stage with each member's own color, drawing an explosive response from global fans.

YG Entertainment posted BABYMONSTER - 'Last Evaluation' EP.5 on its official blog on the 7th. In this video, you can fully feel the vocal capabilities of Parita, Laura, and Asa on stage, starting with the prospective members concentrating on practicing for their vocal solo mission.

Parita, who previously took first place in the blind test, took the stage as the first runner in the mission. He interpreted 'All Of Me' with his unique, pure tone, arousing calm emotions, and executive producer Yang Hyun-seok, who fell into the song with his eyes closed, praised the song, saying, "I feel at ease when I hear Parita's voice."

Next, Laura passionately sang ‘Someone You Loved’, demonstrating not only flexible control of pace but also delicate sensitivity. It was a stage that displayed such perfect digestion that it made you forget the original singer. Starting with Kang Seung-yoon's comment, "It was so good," exclamations of "You're really good at singing" erupted from all over the audience.

Asa, whose strength was fast and intense rapping, pulled out a reversal card. I chose 'Me, Myself & I', which requires rap as well as high-level vocal skills. Asa continued his efforts by repeating the same section 100 times and singing in front of the members as if it were a real evaluation to relieve tension.

The exhilarating high notes completed with an unrivaled tone and the raps he made himself penetrated into everyone's hearts. YG producers gave favorable reviews, saying, “It was a stage with great immersion,” and “The more than four years of practice were not in vain.”

The fourth runner, Chiquita, devoted herself to practicing ‘traitor’, which has an attractive high-pitched sound. Chiquita, who took first place in the mid-term inspection due to her excellent skills, could not hide her embarrassment at the sudden worsening of her neck condition. Hospital test results confirmed coronavirus. Before performing on stage, Chiquita expressed her sorrow with tears in her eyes, saying, "I'm worried because my voice doesn't come out the way I wanted."

Meanwhile, Baby Monster is a new girl group released by YG about 7 years after Blackpink. The prospective members are mostly teenagers: 3 from Korea (Ahyeon, Haram, and Laura), 2 from Thailand (Parita and Chiquita), and 2 from Japan (Luca and Asa). The debut reality show 'Last Evaluation' for final member selection is released every Friday at 00:00.
