BTS Suga tops global charts with pre-released song ‘People Pt.2 (feat. IU)’

Group BTS' Suga swept the global charts with his pre-released song.

As of 9 a.m. on the 8th, the pre-released song 'People Pt.2 (feat. IU)' from Suga's solo album 'D-DAY' was iTunes' Top Song in 87 countries/regions around the world, including the US, UK, and Canada. ' It ranked first on the charts.

In addition, the music video for 'People Pt.2 (feat. IU)' was ranked high on YouTube's trending video charts in several countries/regions upon its release, and surpassed 6.64 million views as of 9 a.m. on the 8th.

'People Pt.2 (feat. IU)' is a pre-released song from Suga's solo album 'D-DAY' released under the stage name Agust D. It is a pop R&B genre that combines IU's clear voice with Suga's comfortable rap centered around a boom bap rhythm. Suga is a pop R&B genre, and Suga expresses relationships and emotions between people that seem meaningless after the passing, but are constantly repeated, such as love, separation, fear, and sadness. These were expressed with the sensibility of Agust D.

'D-DAY' is the final album of the trilogy (three-part series) following the mixtapes 'Agust D' and 'D-2' released by Suga as Agust D. Suga led the entire work, from writing lyrics and composing all songs to producing the album.

Starting with the pre-released song, Suga plans to release various additional contents related to his solo album 'D-DAY'. At 1 PM on the 21st, all songs of 'D-DAY', including the title song, will be released.
