BTS Jimin's solo album 'FACE' receives 'Platinum' certification from Japan Record Association

According to the Japan Record Association on the 12th, Jimin's first solo album 'FACE', released on the 24th of last month, achieved 'Platinum' certification (as of March 2023), recording cumulative shipments of more than 250,000 copies locally. Jimin is the first K-pop solo artist to receive ‘Platinum’ certification this year.
Previously, Jimin swept the 'Weekly Total Album Ranking', 'Weekly Digital Album Ranking', and 'Weekly Album Ranking' on Japan's Oricon with 'FACE'. Jimin is also the first solo artist to win three awards in Oricon's 'Weekly Music Ranking' this year.

'FACE' is an album containing the story of facing oneself fully and preparing for a new beginning as artist Jimin. The album's title song 'Like Crazy' went straight to #1 on the 'Hot 100' main single chart on the US Billboard (as of April 8), making Jimin the first K-pop solo artist to top the 'Hot 100'. Jimin also ranked second on the 'Billboard 200' with 'FACE', recording the highest ranking for a K-pop solo artist.
