BLACKPINK, ‘New K-Pop Women’s World Tour’ ends at Gocheok Dome

BLACKPINK successfully completed ‘BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR [BORN PINK] FINALE IN SEOUL’ at Gocheok Sky Dome in Gocheok-dong, Seoul on September 16th and 17th. All 35,000 seats for the two-day concert were sold out, allowing Blackpink to set a new record for a K-pop girl group world tour of 34 cities around the world, 66 performances, and mobilizing 1.8 million audiences.

The true value of Blackpink, which has established itself as a global artist, stood out. A performance completed with unrivaled charisma, unwavering vocals and catchy rapping, and seasoned stage manners cultivated through world tours made the adrenaline rush. The audience responded with enthusiastic singing and shouting, and waving pink light sticks.

Stage settings that captured the beauty of Korea added specialness. The newly produced Hanok roof tile set, which was produced with more effort than the Coachella performance last April, delighted the eyes with its colorful colors at every moment, and the door bars of Jisoo's 'FLOWER' solo stage, as well as the choreography of 'Typa Girl' using fan dance, etc. It blended perfectly with the music and gave me goosebumps.
Blackpink looked back on their journey so far and shared unforgettable memories. The members said, “We are really happy to be able to start in Seoul and have the finale in Seoul again a year later.” He then said with tears in his eyes, "The tour is now the last, but I am happy because it feels like Blink (fandom name) and Blackpink will be one forever. We will continue to be a great Blackpink."

Meanwhile, this performance was planned as a sustainable performance considering environmental and social impacts. It added meaning by measuring the carbon emissions of the first solo concert in Korea, deploying a performance accessibility manager for the first time as a domestic entertainment company, and providing a guide video for wheelchair audiences. We plan to continue working to improve the sustainability of performances in the future.
