BTS V sets a new record for highest-selling K-pop solo album
BTS V's first solo album 'Layover' set a new record for the most sales on the same day as a K-pop solo album.

According to Hanteo Chart, an album sales statistics site, on the 9th, the 'Layover' physical album released by V at 1 PM the previous day had cumulative sales of 1.67 million copies, including about 1.344 million copies of the regular version and about 327,000 copies of the Weverse version on the same day. I passed it. Hanteo Chart K-Pop Solo ranked first in sales on the first day. Also, on the first day of the release of BTS member Suga's 'D D-Day' in April, sales exceeded 1,072,311 copies.

There are three K-pop solo artists who sold over 1 million copies on the day of release on the Hanteo Chart, and all of them are BTS members. Last March, Jimin's 'FACE' sold 1,021,532 copies on the day of release.

V's 'Layover' is the 5th BTS member's solo work in cumulative sales, following Jin's 'The Astronaut', Jimin's 'Face', Suga's 'D-Day', and J-Hope's 'Jack in the Box'. Exceeded 1 million copies. BTS is the first K-pop group to have five members release million-selling solo works.

'Layover' includes the title song 'Slow Dancing' and pre-released songs 'Rainy Days', 'Love Me Again', 'Blue', and 'For Us'. Six songs were saved, including 'Us' and the bonus track 'Slow Dancing (Piano Ver.)'.
