Musical 'Mozart!' Participating EXO Suho, 'reciprocate' to ridicule his skills
Group EXO's Suho, who played the main character Wolfgang Mozart in the musical 'Mozart!', expressed his honest feelings about the criticism towards himself.
Suho recently said through the fan community, "It was mentally difficult to draw something that would be ridiculed and belittled like this even if I made a small mistake."
Next, Suho added, “At the press call, actor Kim Hee-jae was suddenly unable to participate on the day, so the number he called changed and I became more nervous and sang ‘Why Don’t You Love Me’ without even my last name, and I still regret it.”
Suho said, "I selected and sang the song once again in JTBC's 'K-909'. They will be able to hear how they called it in two weeks.”
He also said, “I saw (some netizens) ridicule and belittle me by editing only the mistakes and making shorts. Even so, I think that I am lacking, and I will prove it on stage, so I am silently acting and singing.” Then, he expressed his candid heart, saying, "Why are you trying to disparage me by writing 'Suho musical', which has not been well-received, for my performance, which was praised by the general audience, many actors, and reporters even if it is not our fans?"
At the press call held on the 20th of last month, Suho sang "Why Don't You Love Me" instead of Kim Hee-jae, who was unable to attend due to cold symptoms. As the video spread, some criticized Suho's skills.
In fact, if you look at the video, Suho is using vocalizations that press his neck excessively. When a musical actor vocalizes as if pressing his neck, the sound sounds flat and the pitch and breathing become more unstable. Because of this, some high-pitched areas were not properly processed. Normally, when tension rises, breathing becomes unstable, which causes you to strain your throat and sing. It is a mistake that can be made enough if you are not familiar with the musical stage yet. However, industry experts point out that it is not an easy problem for professional musical actors.
The musical 'Mozart!' will be performed at the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts in Seoul until August 22nd.
The following is the full text of Suho's writing.

Even now, I regret that I couldn’t even take my last name. That's why I selected and sang it once again in 'K-909'. How they sang it, they will be able to hear it in two weeks.
I've even seen people ridicule and belittle people by editing only mistakes and making them into shorts. Even so, I am silently acting and singing thinking that I am lacking and I will prove it on stage.
Why are you trying to denigrate me by writing 'Suho Musical with a bad reaction' to my performance, which was highly praised by the general audience, many actors, and reporters, even if it's not our fans?
