Girl group BLACKPINK's 'DDU-DU DDU-DU' music video surpasses 2.1 billion views

Blackpink's 'DDU-DU DDU-DU' became the first K-pop group music video to surpass 2.1 billion views on YouTube.

According to YG Entertainment on the 31st, BLACKPINK's 'DDU-DU DDU-DU' music video exceeded 2.1 billion views on YouTube around 4:27 pm the previous day. It is a great record after about 5 years and 1 month since it was released on June 15, 2018.

Thanks to the steady love of global music fans, 'DDU-DU DDU-DU' is constantly updating its own K-pop group music video's first, highest and most views on YouTube every minute and every second.

"DDU-DU DDU-DU," the title track of Blackpink's first mini-album "SQUARE UP," topped the list of the most viewed K-pop music videos in the world in 2018.

The sound source also achieved remarkable results on various global charts. At the time, they ranked 40th and 55th on the US Billboard 200 and Hot 100, respectively, as well as on the domestic chart 'Perfect All Kill', recording the highest ranking ever for a K-pop girl group. Spotify, the world's largest music platform, has been streamed more than 600 million times.

The number of subscribers to Blackpink's official YouTube channel is 90.3 million, surpassing K-pop and becoming the number one artist in the world. It has a total of 43 videos with 100 million views and has exceeded 32.4 billion cumulative content views.
