'Hument' unfolds a gripping tale of individuals with different agendas clashing in the icy waters of Vladivostok, where secrets and truths are submerged. The film has also received positive feedback from international critics and viewers. The South China Morning Post (SCMP) praised it as "a film that starts with a bang and delivers non-stop action. It offers one of the most spectacular and grandiose action sequences seen recently, providing a perfect reward for audiences," highlighting the overwhelming genre catharsis in the latter half.

Viewers on IMDb and Rotten Tomatoes echoed these sentiments, noting that the film "balances action with emotional depth while never forgetting the human aspect of espionage." Others commented, "It's undoubtedly the best action film I've seen recently, showcasing smooth and effective storytelling without any unnecessary elements."
