Kim Hye-yoon and Lee Jong-won Showcase 'Ex-Lover Chemistry' in Upcoming Thriller 'Salmoji'
On the 24th, a press screening and conference for the movie 'Salmoji', directed by Lee Sang-min, was held at CGV Yongsan I'Park Mall in Yongsan-gu, Seoul. The event was attended by director Lee Sang-min and actors Kim Hye-yoon, Lee Jong-won, Kim Jun-han, Kim Young-sung, Oh Dong-min, Yoon Jae-chan, and Jang Da-ah.
'Salmoji' tells the story of a mysterious figure captured at a reservoir known for eerie rumors, prompting a road view filming team to return for a reshoot, leading to a series of chilling events.
Lee Jong-won plays the role of Yoon Ki-tae, a PD at Onroad Media. He shared his experience filming the horror movie, saying, "Even in the film, stepping on branches and mud felt more eerie in real life. It looked like a scary sculpture someone had set up. Every moment and every second of filming gave me chills."
Lee Jong-won also discussed the preparation for underwater scenes. He stated, "Since my character is in a position to rescue someone, I had to be capable of going underwater to save them. I spent about three months learning at an underwater set before filming began. I gained some confidence after those three months. Acting underwater wasn't easy, but I gave it my all."
In the film, Kim Hye-yoon and Lee Jong-won portray ex-lovers. Lee Jong-won humorously remarked, "In the movie, we're ex-girlfriend and ex-boyfriend. In reality, we bickered like exes too. We're close, but comfortable... well, exes aren't really comfortable," eliciting laughter.
'Salmoji' is set to be released on April 8th.
