Jo In-sung Discusses His Reputation for Kindness and Role as a Lead Actor
Actor Jo In-sung candidly explained why he is often praised for his kindness.

Recently, Jo In-sung was interviewed at a café in Samcheong-dong, Seoul, where he discussed his role in the film 'Humint'.

'Humint' tells the story of people who clash in Vladivostok for different reasons.

In the film, Jo In-sung plays the role of Chief Jo, a National Intelligence Service black agent. His character, while cold and calculating, is driven by a desperate need to save people, adding tension throughout the movie.

During the interview, Jo In-sung addressed why he is often spoken of positively on set. He said, "I don't really know. It seems that experience cannot be ignored." He added, "I've had overseas shoots twice, worked with director Ryoo Seung-wan, and have a lot of overseas experience, which comes with its own challenges." He explained, "At this point, I think about what might be needed, and perhaps they feel understood because I consider these things."

Jo In-sung also spoke about the role of a lead actor. He stated, "I believe lead actors ultimately serve as bridges. You need to understand the state of the actors and the production to avoid getting upset. If you're unaware, you might get angry, but knowing these things prevents internal conflicts in an already challenging environment."

He continued, "You can't share every little detail, so as a bridge, I say, 'Please take care of this.' In difficult settings, I quickly communicate and reduce waiting times to allow more time for filming. If you build on this, you can end with smiles."

Reflecting on himself, he laughed, "If my mom saw this, she'd say, 'You're being ridiculous.' She calls me 'Jo with no manners.'" He added, "It's a workspace, isn't it? I think it's because of how I was when I was younger. I was relatively lonely back then, so I think I watch over others."

He concluded, "I don't want anyone to feel left out on set. It's a workspace, so I want it to be warm. If the process is happy, that's what being an adult is about. I want to be a good adult. Everyone loses their initial mindset."

The film 'Humint' was released on the 11th.
