‘Project Y’ Tops the Box Office Among New Releases on Opening Day

The crime entertainment movie 'Project Y' has claimed the number one spot at the box office among films released simultaneously.

'Project Y' tells the gripping story of Mi-seon and Do-kyung, who, while dreaming of a different tomorrow in the heart of a bustling city, find themselves on the edge of life, stealing black money and gold bars.

According to the Korean Film Council's integrated computer network, as of 6 a.m. on the 22nd, 'Project Y,' which premiered the previous day, has topped the box office among its contemporaries. This marks the emergence of the next big hit following 'If We,' drawing even more attention.

Viewers are praising the film, calling it "a perfect showcase of characters," "a fun and visually stunning movie with sophisticated music," and "a bold and emotional piece far beyond expectations." The film features strong and intense characters, with standout performances by Han So-hee and Jeon Jong-seo. Additionally, various events are planned for audiences, including stage greetings during the opening weekend, a music talk GV with music director GRAY, Megabox's 'Golden Title Mission' offering 24K gold, and exclusive merchandise from the three major theater chains.

'Project Y' is currently showing in theaters nationwide.
