Park Chan-wook reflects on the passage of 25 years since 'Joint Security Area' with his new film 'Inevitable'.

Recently, at a café in Sogyeok-dong, Seoul, director Park Chan-wook discussed his latest film, 'Inevitable'.

'Inevitable' tells the story of Mansu, played by Lee Byung-hun, who struggles to find new employment after being unexpectedly laid off from a paper company where he worked for 25 years. The film is based on the novel 'The Ax' by American author Donald Westlake.

Lee Byung-hun, the star of 'Inevitable', recently shared a nostalgic moment on his social media, posting a photo with Song Kang-ho and Shin Ha-kyun at a post-screening gathering. The trio, along with director Park, previously collaborated on 'Joint Security Area' (2000).

Director Park reminisced, "After the screening, Kang-ho, Ha-kyun, and I sat across from each other at the gathering." He continued, "It was amusing, yet also poignant to see how much we've aged. Considering our ages, I think we've managed well and held up over the years. It made me reflect on how we've all endured and survived, including myself," he added with a smile.
