'Made in Itaewon' is a coming-of-age story set against the backdrop of Itaewon during the 1998 IMF crisis. The film explores the lives of young people who, in a time when diversity was not fully embraced, had to choose unconventional paths due to incomplete family, friendship, and love. It portrays their struggles and interactions within a shared space.

In 'Made in Itaewon', Koo Seong-hwan takes on the role of Sang-man, a boxing coach and athlete under Ji-soo's (played by Kim Yo-han) father, who turns to a darker path due to an uncertain future. This role marks another transformation in Koo's acting career. This year, he has also announced roles in the drama 'Let's Divorce', the Netflix series 'Square', and the Wavve original drama 'Reverse'.

'Made in Itaewon' began filming today (8th) and is aiming for a release next year.
