"I thought I might feel a bit embarrassed making such comical expressions, but once the camera started rolling, I felt free. Looking back, I wonder how I managed to express myself like that. It might have been a bit too much, but I was completely immersed in the role," said Lim Yoon-a with a smile.

In the film 'Pretty Crazy,' Lim Yoon-a plays the role of Sun-ji, a character who oscillates between the faces of a devil and an angel. The comedy follows the struggles of a young unemployed man, Gil-gu (played by Ahn Bo-hyun), who gets caught up in a bizarre part-time job of monitoring Sun-ji, who turns into a devil every dawn due to a family curse. By day, Sun-ji runs a bakery, but by night, she transforms into a devil.

"When I first read the script, it felt like a fairy tale, which was refreshing. I've never played such an exaggerated and energetic character before. I'm curious to see how the audience will react," she added.

In the film, Sun-ji is a pastry chef dreaming of studying in France, but at night, she becomes a fearsome devil. Lim Yoon-a portrayed the contrasting visuals of day and night Sun-ji. By day, she sports long straight hair and a neat outfit, exuding a pure style. By night, she dons wild hair and vivid styling, showcasing a dramatic transformation. When asked which side she relates to more, she laughed, "Both are part of me, but unlike night Sun-ji, I don't make such grotesque expressions."

"Day Sun-ji is pastel-toned, while night Sun-ji is vivid and bold. The primary colors allowed for more expressive freedom. Night Sun-ji's styling was meticulously crafted, blending various trends seen by her family over generations, creating an unbalanced yet detailed look," she explained.

Lim Yoon-a recalled the 'Han River scene' as memorable. In the film, the mischievous devil Sun-ji surprises Gil-gu by jumping into the river during a midnight outing.

"I really jumped into the Han River in front of Wonhyo Bridge. We practiced several times in a water tank beforehand, rehearsing poses, timing, and camera angles with the director. Although I'm usually afraid of water, the practice helped me nail it in one take. We only had one chance to shoot it, and thankfully, it was a success," she shared.

Lim Yoon-a previously starred in the comedy disaster film 'Exit,' which attracted 9.42 million viewers. Her co-star from 'Exit,' Jo Jung-suk, is currently enjoying success with his latest release, 'Zombie Daughter.'

"Jo Jung-suk has a way of drawing audiences to theaters, and I'm grateful for that. It's meaningful to greet audiences with our respective films this summer, having worked together six years ago. I hope those who enjoyed 'Zombie Daughter' will also come to see 'Pretty Crazy,'" she expressed.

Reflecting on her 18-year career, Lim Yoon-a expressed her passion for acting. "I feel like I'm on a journey from a question mark to an exclamation point. I focus on doing my best with what's in front of me. I think a lot about how to approach each role and whether I can express it well. Once I've thoroughly considered it and reached an 'exclamation point,' I move forward. I strive to do my best and avoid regrets," she said.

Known for her roles in romantic comedies and lively characters, Lim Yoon-a is eager to explore new genres. "Having done many comedic roles, I sometimes worry about being typecast. I want to try new things, whether it's dark, evil, or with a twist. I want to show a side of me that people haven't seen before. As I mature and grow, I realize it's important to share my journey, not just the end result. I want to be a versatile actor, not limited to one type," she concluded.
