'Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint' is a fantasy action film where the world of a novel, serialized for over a decade, becomes reality on the day it concludes. The sole reader, Kim Dokja, portrayed by Ahn Hyo-seop, finds himself in the novel's world alongside the protagonist Yoo Joonghyuk and his companions, striving to survive in a post-apocalyptic setting. The film offers a unique and spectacular visual experience as Kim Dokja witnesses the novel's world unfold before him. The story begins with a powerful impact when a goblin named Bi-hyung appears on an ordinary subway ride, presenting a chilling scenario: "Kill more than one living being in this subway car." This scenario throws the passengers into chaos. As the novel's events unfold before his eyes, Kim Dokja uses his knowledge of the story's progression and his omniscient reader's perspective to navigate the challenges. This intense opening scene heightens tension and shock, drawing the audience deeper into the film.

◆ "I know all the strategies" vs "Survive and reach Chungmuro Station"

After the novel becomes reality, Kim Dokja, the only one who knows the ending, encounters the novel's protagonist Yoo Joonghyuk, played by Lee Min-ho, on Dongho Bridge. This meeting marks another turning point. Wanting to change the ending where only the protagonist survives, Kim Dokja extends a hand to Yoo Joonghyuk, saying, "I know all the strategies. If you stick with me, the storyline will be no problem." However, Yoo Joonghyuk dismisses him, issuing a new mission: "Survive and reach Chungmuro Station." Despite meeting the protagonist he admired since his school days, Yoo Joonghyuk has become cynical after repeated regressions. Yet, to write a new ending, Kim Dokja must join forces with Yoo Joonghyuk. Their intense first meeting sets the stage for an unpredictable narrative and the chemistry they will develop.

◆ "I was nothing, but I met a story and companions"

Aiming for an ending where everyone survives, Kim Dokja and his companions Yoo Sangah (Chae Soo-bin), Lee Hyunsung (Shin Seung-ho), Jung Heewon (Nana), and Lee Gilyoung (Kwon Eun-sung) join forces to break through the scenario. As they reach the ending, Kim Dokja reflects, "I was nothing, but I met a story and companions," and "I will rewrite the ending of this story with my companions." In a survival scenario, they persistently fight alongside each other, realizing that only by uniting can they survive. Ultimately, they convey a hopeful message to the audience, offering catharsis as they write a new ending together.
