'Zombie Daughter' Tops Box Office with Record-Breaking Pre-Sales Ahead of Release

'Zombie Daughter' is a comedic drama about a devoted father who undergoes secret training to protect his daughter, the last remaining zombie in the world. The film stars Jo Jung-suk, Lee Jung-eun, Yoon Kyung-ho, and Choi Yoo-ri.
According to the Korean Film Council's integrated computer network, 'Zombie Daughter' has surpassed other major films in pre-sale tickets, including the box office leader 'Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint', Hollywood blockbuster 'Fantastic Four: A New Beginning', and the long-running hit 'F1: The Movie'. It has also exceeded the pre-sale numbers of 2023 summer hits like 'Smuggling' (198,980 tickets), 'Concrete Utopia' (139,665 tickets), and last summer's Jo Jung-suk-led 'Pilot' (176,003 tickets). Additionally, it has outpaced the pre-sale figures of 'Spring in Seoul' (101,974 tickets) and 'Exhumation' (164,675 tickets), as well as this year's top-grossing film 'Mission Impossible: Final Reckoning' (204,883 tickets).
Jo Jung-suk's proven box office appeal, demonstrated in summer hits like 'Exit' and 'Pilot', is once again drawing attention. In 'Zombie Daughter', he showcases his signature comedic style and heartfelt paternal love, continuing his streak as a summer box office favorite.

On its release day, the 30th, from 5 PM to 9 PM, audiences can watch 'Zombie Daughter' for just 1,000 won in standard 2D theaters, thanks to the Korean Film Council's "Theater, Please Take Care of Summer!" promotion and Culture Day discounts. 'Zombie Daughter' will be available in theaters nationwide starting on the 30th.
