Uhm Tae-woong Returns to the Big Screen with 'The Last Assignment'

Set to premiere in August, 'The Last Assignment', starring Uhm Tae-woong, has unveiled its launch poster featuring a classroom scene. The film tells the story of a temporary teacher and students who complete their final assignments in their own unique ways.
The released poster depicts desks divided into two groups in a 4th-grade classroom at a private elementary school in Gangnam, symbolizing the divide between 'rental apartments' and 'private apartments'. This visual representation of the economic disparity among the students highlights the classroom as a microcosm of society.
The tagline, “The teacher's last assignment becomes the children's first happiness,” piques curiosity about how the temporary teacher, Young-nam (played by Uhm Tae-woong), will break down invisible barriers and help the children find their own happiness through his 'real lessons'.
'The Last Assignment' is generating buzz as Uhm Tae-woong's comeback film. The movie also features seasoned supporting actors such as Park Sang-myun, Jeon Soo-kyung, Yoon Hyun-sook, and Choi In-ah, along with special appearances by INFINITE's Lee Sung-jong. The impressive performances of child actors Hong Jung-min, Lee Jae-jun, and Jo Jae-young further enhance the film's quality.
Directed by Lee Jung-chul, who previously captured the hearts of audiences with 'Heart Is 2', the film is anticipated to showcase his heartfelt storytelling once again after a 15-year hiatus.
'The Last Assignment' is scheduled for release in August.
