Heo Sung-tae made a striking appearance at the New York Asian Film Festival.

On July 11th, Heo attended the 24th New York Asian Film Festival held at the Walter Reade Theater in Lincoln Center, Manhattan. He graced the red carpet and participated in a Q&A session with fans for the film 'The Informer'.

Celebrating its 24th year, the New York Asian Film Festival is a vibrant showcase of diverse Asian films. This year's festival, held in New York, featured its most globally expansive lineup yet, with 'The Informer' selected as the opening film, drawing significant attention.

Heo was accompanied by director Kim Seok, actors Jo Bok-rae, Seo Min-joo, and producer Han Sung-gu. On the red carpet, he responded to the enthusiastic cheers of local fans and media with a relaxed smile. During the post-screening Q&A, Heo engaged closely with the audience, introducing 'The Informer' and answering various questions, creating a memorable experience.

'The Informer' is a comedic buddy movie and crime action film about the chaotic partnership between an incompetent detective and a savvy informant. Directed and written by Kim Seok, who debuted with the award-winning short film 'Humanist' at the 2008 CJ Young Festival.

In 'The Informer', Heo plays Oh Nam-hyuk, a detective overlooked due to trauma. He showcases a new action character as Oh Nam-hyuk gets entangled in a mysterious case while seeking a life turnaround.

After the successful Q&A at the 24th New York Asian Film Festival, Heo expressed his gratitude through his agency, Billions, saying, "I feel like I've done something great. I'm truly thankful to director Kim Seok and the passionate staff for crafting such a wonderful character. They created more than 50% of Oh Nam-hyuk. I also thank producer Han Sung-gu for making our film possible."

He added, "I want to thank everyone who laughed and applauded with us at the New York Asian Film Festival opening. It was a time to fully understand why they love movies and what empathy means, making it even more moving. It was touching to see how films can unite different ethnicities."

Heo Sung-tae is also connecting with viewers through the JTBC weekend drama 'Good Boy'.
