Actor Son Suk-ku's film company, Stannum, has achieved remarkable success with its debut project, 'Night Fishing,' just one year after its establishment. The film won both the Grand Prix and Silver at the prestigious Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.

Currently streaming on TVING, 'Night Fishing' is a 10-minute sci-fi film featuring Son Suk-ku, who also participated in its production. Released in theaters last year, it introduced the new term 'Snack Movie' and offered audiences a groundbreaking experience.

'Night Fishing' has garnered attention and accolades from various film and advertising festivals. It began its award journey with the Best Editing Award at the Fantasia International Film Festival, followed by the Grand Prix at Spikes Asia, the Grand Winner at the Clio Awards, and the Gold at Adfest. Ultimately, on June 17th (local time), it clinched both the Entertainment Grand Prix and Silver at the Cannes Lions, the world's most prestigious advertising festival.

Director Moon Byung-gon, who showcased his unique filming technique through the perspective of a car, has once again proven his talent. He previously made history as the first Korean to win the Palme d'Or for Short Films at the Cannes Film Festival in 2013 with 'Safe.' Now, he stands as the only director to have conquered both the Cannes Film Festival and the Cannes Lions.

Stannum's innovative journey is set to continue. Following its groundbreaking approach to blending film and advertising, the company is now working on a Korean-American collaboration. The upcoming feature film 'Bedford Park' (working title), slated for a global release in 2026, will depict the love story between Audrey, a Korean-American woman played by Choi Hee-seo, and Eli, a former wrestling athlete portrayed by Son Suk-ku. Son Suk-ku has expressed his admiration for the realistic and detailed script, noting his excitement about portraying a non-stereotypical Asian character in an American film.

The film is being produced by Krasnoff/Foster Entertainment (Gary Foster), B&C Content (Chris Lee), and Significant Productions (Nina Yang Bongiovi), known for producing 'Sleepless in Seattle' and associated with actor Forest Whitaker. After two years of preparation, the film completed its on-location shooting in New Jersey this past May and is currently in post-production.

As Stannum takes its first steps as a production company, they have expressed their commitment to "continue breaking boundaries with innovative formats and collaborations, creating unique stories that are distinctly Stannum."
